The Challenge
PESS is a key player in the power engineering sector, where precision and agility are fundamental. With the goal of unifying their operations, they decided to implement Odoo ERP. However, they soon encountered an obstacle: Odoo's Enterprise Cloud version, while powerful, didn't offer the flexibility needed to handle the complexity of their project costing process and other custom operations.
The challenge was clear: how to leverage the power of a standard ERP without being limited by it? They needed a partner who not only knew Odoo inside and out, but could also build a technological bridge to adapt the system to their unique needs—not the other way around.
What We Did
Instead of forcing PESS to adapt to the tool, we adapted the tool to PESS. The solution was to design and build a custom web platform that functions as an intelligent 'co-pilot' for Odoo.
This application, developed with Laravel Backpack and Vue.js, handles the most complex business logic. It connects directly with Odoo's CRM module and, through a custom costing interface, allows PESS's team to generate precise quotes in a fraction of the time it used to take. Once approved, the platform automatically generates Sales Orders in Odoo, eliminating errors and manual tasks.
This approach allowed us to automate not just sales, but a complete ecosystem of operations, including purchasing, timesheets, project management, and expense tracking.
